DevOps is a collection of practices that works to integrate and automate the processes between software development and Information Technology teams to build, test, and release software rapidly and more reliably. The term DevOps was made up of combining two words, “development” and “operations.” It marks a cultural shift that links development and operation teams. It historically functioned in siloes. Because of the continuous nature of DevOps, professionals use the infinity loop to show how the phases of the DevOps lifecycle relate to each other.
